Beach Umbrella Painting Workshop

NEW class! In this class, Jenna will be guiding students through the process of creating their very own painting on watercolor paper.

The class will start with an ice-breaker and warm up blind contour exercise. Jenna will then lead the class step by step through painting basics, including toning the paper, sketching out the composition, observing light and dark values, and applying color with a controlled palette. The medium is gouache, water based paint sizing 8 x 10 inches.

The goal of this class is to provide a safe, welcoming environment to explore the creative genius that everyone has inside of them. Instead of focusing on the outcome of the painting itself, the process will be emphasized. Creating is a means of letting go, loosening up, and enjoying the journey. All skill levels, beginner to advanced, are welcome.

All supplies are provided.

The two hour workshop is available on two separate dates: Friday, May 10th, from 5-7 pm, Saturday, May 11th from 3-5 pm, and Friday, May 24 from 5-7 pm at Jenna Alexander Studio, 73 San Marco Avenue. Please feel free to bring your own snacks, and whatever you’d like to sip on during class. Charcuterie and wine are not included at this class. All ages, children 8+.

Workshops are not refundable. If you cannot make the class, you can find someone to replace your spot.
